Powered by Flossie gives multinational, enterprise product companies the ability to finally market appointments on behalf of their salon partners.
We offer a single, powerful API that connects to different booking software, aggregating fragmented salon networks (and data) into a branded streamlined marketing and booking platform. We enable product companies to digitise without disrupting their entire B2B network.
Our purpose (and why we turn up to work every day), is we believe that services are the last bastion of e-commerce opportunities not yet explored, with enormous scope and scale. By targeting & fixing the very specific & known strategic pain points within large scale global corporate partners, we are bringing this vision to life at a rapid pace.
I’m a “serial” digital entrepreneur, having started my first company at 20 years of age from my spare bedroom in Auckland, New Zealand back in 1999. I am driven by insights and understanding how we can use these to develop technological advances for consumers and businesses.
Tell us about your experience with Kea Connect since reaching out in 2017
I was introduced to Kea and immediately they had a positive impact on our business and for me personally. I was on my own in London and it helped me make friends, find colleagues and tap into networks that eventually led to securing our first clients. It took a huge amount of persistence and resilience to keep that up – as we took 2 years of pounding the pavement to get our first client secured, but the support from Kea continuously helped us keep going.
How has Powered by Flossie grown since 2017?
We’re about to go from ‘pre-revenue’ to significant revenue with our first client going live in September. These global brands signing with us are game changers. The last few years we have spent in technology stack redeployment, taking it from a B2B marketplace to a B2B software and repositioning ourselves for scale. We have the funding, the clients and the commercial terms in place – now we get to actually go do it!
When you think about success in tech, what specific trends are you seeing for 2020 and beyond?
For 2020 I think we can all agree that just surviving is the key. If you can get through this, you can get through anything. Beyond that? Well, it’s anyone’s guess. It’s not like any of us had a pandemic on our plans for this year! We hope we can maximise on the digitisation trends that our industry is finally embracing, the world’s new order has meant they’ve finally had no choice but to do it. That has worked to our advantage and we’re maximising on it.
