We are seeking a self motivated and dynamic individual to join our high performing team as Business Development Manager. The role is based in Shanghai but some overnight travel will be required from time to time.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for developing and inspiring the wholesalers, sub-distributors and key customers to drive business and sales growth within the designated markets. Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Develop and manage wholesale network, distributor network and key customers;
- Plan, implement and evaluate promotional programmes;
- Present brand positioning, product features/benefits and profit opportunities;
- Build the profile of the brand through customer presentations, trade shows and the tasting programme;
- Conduct market research and develop activation plans for agreed channel-specific strategies;
- Develop business plans consistent with Group requirements;
- Business reporting in the areas of performance versus budget, forecast, promotional expenses etc.
This is an ideal next step for an experienced Sales Representative, Sales Executive or an Account Manager. You may be a Business Development Manager with a keen interest in a career in the wine industry. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven sales professional with a self-starting attitude to be a part of a successful and progressive international business.
Applicants must have a four-year tertiary degree with at least 3-5 years structured commercial experience in business development, marketing, sales or distributor management, ideally in a FMCG or similar environment. Excellent language skills are essential; applicants should be fluent in both written and verbal English and Mandarin.
The successful candidate will be remunerated with a base salary, performance incentive, allowances and others benefits commensurate with the nature of the role.
