Waikato University has three exciting new roles within the newly created International Office working closely with a team of dedicated staff to deliver the University’s international student recruitment strategy, with a focus on the regions of: South East Asia; South Asia; Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

These roles support all aspects of the delivery of the University’s international strategy for student recruitment, business development and relationship management to meet recruitment targets and raise the University’s profile within key markets in the specified regional market.
To succeed, you will need to be able to engage and collaborate effectively with your Faculty colleagues as well as the University’s marketing and admissions teams and have demonstrable strengths in relationship and stakeholder management within the Higher Education sector, including agents and institutional partners within the assigned region. You will provide sound advice on your understanding of the global education environment, have excellent report writing and statistical analysis skills, an understanding of overseas qualifications, together with a passion for outstanding client service delivery.
You will have excellent communication, presentation, organisational and influencing skills as well as experience in managing budgets. A track record of working in an International Office or similar environment and experience using social media and CRM systems for marketing and promotional activities are essential requirements for this role. Fluency in a language other than English, preferably one that that is used within the assigned region would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential you have a relevant tertiary qualification, with a post-graduate qualification in a related discipline preferable. Cultural awareness and sensitivity and the ability to travel extensively are essential requirements.
Commencing salary is expected to be in the range of $80,000 to $84,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
