Finance Manager, Primary Collaboration NZ – Shanghai
Primary Collaboration New Zealand (Shanghai) Co Ltd, (PCNZ Shanghai), a collaboration of six of New Zealand’s finest primary  sector producer companies, is seeking a high-calibre Finnace Manager for its newly-established company, to be based in Shanghai. Leading the financial and administration set-up and development of this unique venture, this is a rare opportunity for a strong, mature and talented finance professional. This role requires someone with strong experience across the entire finance function to create an innovative and world class finance and administration system in China for the six member companies.

Six of New Zealand’s finest primary sector producer companies are driving this collaboration, with the goal of deepening their commercial footprint in New Zealand’s largest export market – China. Those companies are Pacific Pace (itself a collaboration between apple and producer companies Mr Apple and the Crasborn and Bostock Groups) Villa Maria, Sealord,  Silver Fern Farms, Synlait, and KONO.

A new Wholly Owned Foreign Entity (WOFE) has been collaboratively formed between the six shareholding businesses, an office site has been chosen in an attractive downtown business centre in Shanghai and the project has the ongoing support of NZ Trade and Enterprise. The venture now needs to fill this critical position reporting to the role of GM PCNZ:

  • Very mature; exhibits and practices a high degree of Integrity and responsibility
  • A Finance and Accounting Professional: Will have appropriate Financial qualifications including strong experience of local Chinese accounting and tax requirements.
  • Will have around ten years working experience minimum, preferably in a related industry sector, and should have a minimum of three years senior management experience;
  • Possesses strong business acumen and commercial judgement.
  • Has fluent English and Mandarin Chinese writing reading and speaking skills.
  • Has exceptional interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and work with the senior finance teams in China of the six companies.

Administration Manager, Primary Collaboration NZ – Shanghai
Great entry level role for a bilingual speaker to be in the middle of six of New Zealand’s leading primary sector companies.

The Administration and Reception Supervisor will report locally to the General Manager of PCNZ Shanghai. The role will also consult closely with the Finance Manager in the same office. The right candidate will have a good understanding of all the requirements of running an office in China, and especially, experience with local government office regulations, office security, the fire department, all local safety regulations, and office leases.

The role will also require strong working relationships with the General Manager, the Finance Manager, and the Market Managers from the six respective collaborating companies.

Market Manager, Pacific Pace
Opportunity for a high-calibre China Market Manager to manage a joint venture between three major New Zealand apple, pear and produce companies – Mr. Apple, Bostock Group and the Crashborn Group.

PCNZ Shanghai is seeking to employ a high-calibre Market Manager to consult to its Fruit and Produce business in China. The role will report directly to the General Manager of PCNZ Shanghai. The role will also consult closely with each ofthe Pacific Pace Joint Venture partners(Pacific Pace), who are based in New Zealand.

The Market Manager will have a deep understanding of the Chinese fresh apple and produce market, or at least related primary food industry experience. The role will also require strong working relationships with other NZ-based personnel, and in particular senior sales personnel, and the Marketing Department of each of the Pacific Pace JV partners. Given an established customer base in China, this new position will be well supported in the early stages by the current commercial staff in New Zealand, who will provide an ideal platform for further growth, and particularly new product, and new market development.
