Joining the team as an International Market Manager your focus will be international business development within pre-qualified emerging markets. The opportunity will appeal to individuals who have proven capability in building the required plans and partnerships to produce results.
There is potential to grow the role and your skill base over time, hence the position calls for a mixture of sales discipline, an appreciation of consumer brand marketing and entrepreneurial flair. You will need to be able to translate strategy into market tactics and build strong relationships with a range of channel partners.
Staying abreast of consumer and route to market trends in order to identify opportunities for consumers to engage with the brand will be key. This is not a trading role and there must be a genuine desire on your part to produce sustainable plans that meet local market needs AND take into account agreed global brand strategy.
You will need proven international business experience in ideally with branded food products, although those from other consumer product / branded goods backgrounds will be considered. An understanding of market research and the ability to interpret local market insights will give your application an edge.
The successful candidate will require the following attributes and experience;
• Track record of success in business development in export markets
• NZ business and offshore market living and working experience
• Branded product based consumer marketing understanding
• The ability to travel frequently
• Tertiary qualification
