Reporting to the General Manager Water Services, this newly created role is for an experienced Engineer to join the Water Services Team to be working closely with clients and other team members, providing analysis and technical knowledge to ensure the deliveries of the Water Services Maintenance Contract meet best industry practice and outcomes that are both future focused and value based.
The Water Services Engineer will oversee all technical aspects in the operational delivery of the Water Services Contracts. They will also be responsible for the compliance of the Contracts, ensuring all regulatory and legislative requirements are being met. This role will be responsible for managing a range of varying water service infrastructure assets, including compliance to drinking water safety plans and standards relating to the maintenance contracts.
Skills and Experience
To succeed you will have experience in Water Services and a tertiary qualification in Water/ Waste Water treatment, with sound knowledge of the latest water systems and compliance standards. You will have experience in managing maintenance contracts and assets within the Water Reticulation, Waste Water, Surface Water Network of local authorities or similar. The ability to mentor contract managers, supervisors and support personnel to meet delivery outcomes and contractual obligations within the contract process is also required. You will be a strong communicator, self-motivated and reliable, with outstanding customer service skills. The potential to grow into a leadership role exists for the right person.
