Auckland Grammar School is one of New Zealand’s leading secondary schools, with a reputation for all-round excellence in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits.  Providing a state education for young men aged 13 to 18, the School offers an academic programme based on both national and international syllabi, catering for a range of students from diverse backgrounds, socio-economic groups and ethnicities.  Founded in 1869 after an endowment by the Governor of New Zealand, Sir George Grey, with the intention to establish a grammar school in Auckland that was to be "for the education of all New Zealanders".

The School is now seeking a dynamic individual for the role of UK Development Manager to coordinate the activities of its ’UK Friends’ charitable trust and to act as a point of contact for the Grammar Old Boys, with particular emphasis on the 150th capital campaign set to commence in 2016.

You will work closely with the Director of Advancement and the Chairman of the ‘UK Friends’ trustees to actively manage an agreed portfolio of UK prospects/existing donors through identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of five and six figure gifts and legacies for the betterment of the Foundation Trust and the School.

This is an exciting opportunity and will appeal especially to those who are seeking to broaden their career in the development sector.  Degree level education, an engaging personality, energy, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills are all essential prerequisites.
