MartinJenkins is pleased to support Regional Facilities Auckland and the Auckland Museum Institute in the process to appoint Auckland War Memorial Museum (AWMM) Trust Board Members.
The vision at Auckland War Memorial Museum (AWMM) is ‘He Oranga Tangata Ka Ao – Enriching Lives: Inspiring Discoveries’. The Museum’s Strategic Plan (2017-2022) sets out its direction for the next five years to ensure the Museum plays a leading role in realizing a culturally-rich and creative Auckland. It outlines the Museums priorities for the next five years centring on enriching the visitor experience, extending its reach and impact, fostering new research questions and debate, and supporting social belonging and participation.
These bold ambitions require a Trust Board that is entrepreneurial, customer-centric and collaborative, with extensive experience in the strategies and technical skills required to transform the Museum. In a complex and challenging environment, it requires a Trust Board with members who bring diverse personal qualities, professional expertise and personal experiences to the table.
This recruitment process is for the Auckland Council and Auckland Museum Institute-appointed Board members. It includes applications from current Board members seeking reappointment for a further term, and new candidates. In 2019, there are three Auckland Council appointments and two Auckland Museum Institute appointments. RFA will recommend candidates to Auckland Council for appointment.
