Pivotal Leadership Role Within the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Team

To support their continued growth, Synlait are in the process of implementing IBP – Integrated Business Planning – an international best practice company-wide management process, proven to increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. IBP ensures an in-depth focus and alignment throughout all areas of the business from business development, sales, operations and supply chain to supporting functions of finance, human resources and information technology. IBP will give Synlait much more complete business management information over a 24-36 month horizon, facilitating improved levels of financial and operational performance, increasing employee engagement and driving customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the GM Manufacturing & Supply Chain, the Supply Planning Manager is a pivotal role responsible for leading and directing the Supply Planning Team of 5 (Commercial Planning Manager, 2 x Master Schedulers, Inventory Controller & Product Allocation Coordinator). This role will oversee all facets of supply planning, and will also lead and uphold the IBP process in this area of the business. This position will ensure the cost effective and timely supply of finished goods and will ensure the Supply Planning Team provides up to date production schedules to the manufacturing teams – resolving any capacity or input conflicts in a timely manner. Proactively identifying and communicating supply-side issues (logistics, procurement, manufacturing and milk supply) to the rest of the business, this role will work closely with sales and manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless supply planning in order to maximise DIFOTIS.
Suitable candidates will be experienced senior planning/supply chain professionals with experience in a complex dairy/manufacturing environment. Applicants will be tertiary qualified and possess exceptional leadership, organisational and communication skills along with a high level of excel and financial/business modelling skills.
