If you are a Solicitor looking for a firm to settle down with, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. Our client is an award-winning and established boutique legal practise who ensure an emphasis on work/life balance for their staff and offer access and invaluable mentoring from the Partners & Senior Solicitors.

This is a progressive environment where burgeoning Solicitors are supported to succeed and progression pathways are open to those who are dedicated to growing their practise.

This is a specialised firm with the following areas of expertise:

  • Employment Law
  • Property & Commercial Law
  • Wills & Trusts

Their office is comprised of 4 Partners, 3 Solicitors & 3 support staff.

The Employment Law team that you would join is made up of 2 Partners and a Principal & Senior Associate.  They are considered leaders in their field in New Zealand. They are looking for a Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE and a genuine passion for advancing in the field of Employment Law.

Depending on your experience and ability, you could expect the role to be made up of roughly 80% employment law & dispute resolution, while also undertaking research and dealing in Civil Litigation as required. If you have a particular interest or experience in another branch of law, there is some flexibility to do this.

Our client offers a large and diverse client base, including public and private sector, large and small businesses, unions and individuals throughout New Zealand. They are particular about who joins the team and are flexible to make the role work for the right person. They will consider looking at a 4-day working week if that would best suit your lifestyle.

At a minimum you will need to have:

  • A current practising certificate
  • 2 years + PQE
  • Relevant experience and a passion for employment law
  • Great references to back this up

The ideal candidate will be someone who is confident, committed to progressing, tenacious and has a team focused approach to their work.

If you have been thinking about making a change for 2019 this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Curious? Please either send in your CV or get in touch with Brigid on 04 901 6444 for further details.
