Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for leading the overall operation of the Auckland processing plant. This includes team leadership, equipment maintenance and operation management, meeting product quality and compliance standards and overseeing project engineering services. You will be responsible for all aspects of site safety, providing training and ensuring H&S best practice is maintained. Key responsibilities include driving operational performance and continuous improvement, developing a cohesive and efficient team, and overseeing the provision of plant and technical services.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership capability, most likely tempered from a practical, ‘hands on’ mechanical or production orientated background, with technical knowledge of processes and planning. You will have the ability to analyse and optimise production performance, be capable of motivating and coaching staff, and understand the key drivers for achieving quality through continuous improvement programmes. You will be results orientated, take the initiative and ‘customer focused’ in delivery. Of equal importance is your dedication towards creating a culture of safety.
