THE JOB:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager (Upper North Island) the Service Manager will work closely with the Parts Manager and play a key role in the leadership of the overall Branch.  With full responsibility for the Branch’s entire service operation, the Service Manager will provide dedicated and motivational leadership to a team of approx. 30 (via 8 direct reports) and will enhance operational efficiency, maximise customer satisfaction and ensure the provision of world class “Cat Service Excellence” delivery.

The Service Manager will have an unwavering commitment to a culture of Health & Safety, and will also focus on leadership and team development, quality, efficiency, customer service, financial performance and outstanding operational delivery.  

THE CANDIDATE:

Applicants will possess proven experience of (and a passion for) leading and developing teams and be experienced driving continual improvements in service and operational delivery.  Prior experience in the large automotive/heavy machinery industry is strongly preferred and any industry relevant technical/mechanical experience would also be beneficial.  Exceptional communication, relationship management and customer service skills are essential along with strong organisational abilities and a well-developed level of financial literacy.
