Our highly regarded Dispute Resolution team in Wellington is busy and looking to grow with the addition of a Senior Solicitor/Senior Associate.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of high profile disputes for a varied client base including corporate clients, public sector entities and directors and officers. The type of work you may be involved in includes commercial litigation, competition, regulatory and consumer law matters, health & safety investigations, public law disputes, insolvency and insurance disputes, fraud, construction disputes, food safety and medical matters.
The practice leaders have all worked in large, international firms so your support and training will be second to none, with ample opportunity to develop your advocacy skills in court. The team is also highly committed to pro-bono work with the effort lead by partner, Stacey Shortall, who won the Community and Not-For-Profit award at the 2015 Women of Influence Awards.
Ideal candidates will have around 6-8 years' litigation experience and will be interested in developing and mentoring junior members of the team. Large firm experience is desirable but we would also consider applicants with mid-tier or boutique firm experience. We also welcome applications from lawyers returning from overseas.
Fit is very important and the ideal applicants will bring a high degree of commerciality and a friendly, energetic approach.
MinterEllisonRuddWatts is supportive of flexible working arrangements where possible and we would encourage you to discuss this with us, should this be something you are interested in.
