This is a lead research and development position involving a range of inorganic materials. Also a technical management role, included is leadership of a research lab and piloting team/s which supports the development and scaling up of their innovative technology. In addition, the role supports projects related to the evaluation of different raw material feeds to produce titanium dioxide alongside other topics in the group including industrial chemistry, inorganic product development, technology piloting and scale up.
Candidates require a PHD in inorganic chemistry with a specialty in nanomaterials. An industrial practitioner, experience in sulphation, crystallisation, and hydrolysing is required. Analytical techniques used include XRF, XRD, SEM and of value will be expertise in titanium dioxide. A consultative leadership style, curiosity and excellent communication ability is needed in this entrepreneurial environment. You enjoy thinking conceptually and solving complex problems combining data and commercial realities.
