This is an outstanding opportunity to provide leadership, strategic and operational direction to remediation activity in support of the bank's Conduct Strategy and Remediation Framework. This includes helping the business to expand its remediation capability to help live our customer promises. The role is based in Auckland.

The role is positioned in our Product Enterprise Conduct Team responsible for the successful management of remediation cases and working with internal partners to strengthen conduct behaviour, product quality, controls and building new strategic capability to mitigate remediation cases from occurring in the future.  The role reports to Head of Enterprise Conduct.

About the Role

You will provide sound strategic leadership to ensure the bank manages and delivers all requirements for remediation and conduct cases in accordance with the bank's Remediation Framework and Conduct Strategy.

You will also be a strategic thought-leader within Product and the broader bank around building new capability and thinking to proactively strengthen product resilience and compliance capability.

Along with providing support and advice to remediation case stakeholders, you will maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to keep abreast of potential remediation and conduct developments impacting customers.

You will be responsible for regular remediation advice, reporting to senior management, Risk Partners, Conduct Council and others as required, including internal communications.

About You

You will possess an engaging leadership style and possess strong financial services experience preferably with emphasis on conduct, compliance and products. With experience in making sound decisions and judgements under pressure, you will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively to get the right business and customer outcomes.

Your proven research and analytical skills will be essential, and you will have the confidence to present well thought out papers and presentations with confidence with senior management and leaders.

 With experience in making sound decisions and judgements under pressure, you will possess the confidence, skills, and experience to deal with a broad range of situations, challenges, and opportunities.
