The University has a huge forward capital works programme in excess of $1bn over the next 10 years, which includes a number of architecturally significant, high quality and complex buildings. Arriving at an exciting time, we are looking to recruit two experienced senior Project Managers to join the team within Property Services. The role of Property Services is to provide a leading facilities management, planning and development service to one of Auckland’s largest and most diverse property portfolios. We have one of New Zealand’s most significant and complex entities, spread across five campuses.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Development you will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of large scale building complexes including the successful completion of individual projects ensuring that the functional requirements of the University are met; projects are completed on time, within budget and scope. You will build, lead and manage a high performing team with a mix of junior to senior project managers.  

To be considered for this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, property or architecture. It is essential to demonstrate a minimum of 10-12 years relevant PM experience in construction related experience, including a minimum of 5 years PM experience of major and/or complex building projects with a combined value of $20M to $250M.   

With outstanding communication skills, you will build/establish credibility by applying your technical knowledge and expertise in design, planning and project management principles. With a focus on resource planning, priorities and implementation, you will be adept at managing key stakeholders requirements both internally and externally. Your financial acumen and ability to influence in large and complex organisations has enabled you to win the confidence of senior managers and decision makers.

A driven and results focussed individual, you will demonstrate exceptional planning and organisational proficiency and thrive in busy and technically demanding environments where innovative thinking and commercial smarts are highly regarded.
