Supporting the Head of public works on the island you will have monitoring/operational responsibility for, public works department, budgets and engineering services with a focus on Utilities, Building and Highways.
With a Budget of £25M roughly split between CAPEX and maintenance, you will be managing £250M of assets.
You will directly manage the projects and contracts and also oversee the administration section.
The key areas of activity in this role are Maintenance of the Development and Contract Management of Assigned Capital Projects, Utilities provision, Maintenance of Public Buildings and Public areas within Stanley, Highways Maintenance (and Construction), Engineering Design and Survey services.
In addition you will be involved with Management and Maintenance of Housing and Production of Clean and Coated Aggregates, Waste Management and Disposal.
You should have;
A Construction Degree (Civ Eng) or equivalent
10 or more years PQE to include at least 5years working for Main Contractor and/or Subcontractors delivering Local Authority/Council projects.
Experience to include Roads/Highways and Building projects.
Experience working with Minor/Small works, ICE and NEC form of contracts.
