Reporting to the Planning Manager you will be responsible for managing the District Plan change and review process to ensure that RMA and other statutory processes are complied with and reflect the views of the Council and other stakeholders. You will analyse and report on policy documents including producing specific reports and responses as required by the Planning Manager. This role will play an integral role in our strategy and our commitment to the Westland community.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have proven knowledge in resource management planning, including plan preparation and review processes. In addition, your knowledge and experience of the Resource Management Act and understanding of social and economic impacts of policies and proposals will be crucial to your success. A sound knowledge of local government issues and processes would be advantageous.
You will have a relevant qualification and experience in resource management, planning, local Government or related fields. In addition, your exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be crucial to your success along with your policy assessment skills.
