Make an impact in this Senior Planning role where you will play a lead role working with our clients who are doing incredible things every day. You will play a key leadership role across our Auckland Environments team where will be leading iconic projects across Auckland including client relationship and management responsibilities.
We are looking for a high performing professional with a real passion for planning who is motivated to deliver for our clients. We are trusted advisors and respected by the many disciplines and professions we collaborate with on projects. In this role, you will have plenty of scope for success with wide exposure to clients, across disciplines and across Beca, providing you with extensive career and professional development as well as access to industry leading mentors.
This is an opportunity to play a key technical leadership role within the team and provide input to a broad range of projects. We lead all sizes of projects for a diverse group of clients and work as an integrated team of 120 planners and urban designers operating from nine key locations in New Zealand.
You will need to have a thorough knowledge of the Resource Management Act, with strengths in statutory and strategic planning. This position requires excellent communication skills and a broad understanding of a range of disciplines related to planning matters.
You will also need to have a natural flare for leadership and the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders and the general public. You will have a tertiary qualification in planning and/or resource management and be a full member of the NZPI or working towards this.
Ultimately this is a key role to strengthen our planning business. We are looking for a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a collaborative approach. We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
We have a degree of flexibility to shape the role around you depending on your level of experience and have senior planning and associate level roles available. Beca’s branch network means we have the potential to consider applicants in Auckland or our other New Zealand offices.
