With a strong nous for PR, local and global communications as well as the ability to tell great stories, this role will offer you a global opportunity with strong connection to a key market.
This role will initially be based in our Auckland HQ where you will be guided by a strong, high performing team. After a 3-6-month period you will then be based out of our Shanghai office, working onsite alongside the Greater China business team
Jump on board and hit the ground running, partnering directly with and helping shape the communications for Fonterra China! Reporting to the Director of Communications in NZ, you will play a critical role as the key conduit between the Global Communications function and the China business.
You will be involved in a full suite of communications activities – proactive and reactive to both internal and external audiences. While you will support the China Communications team, your primary audiences and stakeholders will be in NZ and you will be responsible for the China business narrative back in NZ. Using your expertise to design, develop and deliver the communications plan, you’ll provide thought leadership into the overall communications direction for China (in NZ) and help ensure the broader team successfully delivers on key strategies

With a strong advisory background, you’ll be able to easily immerse yourself within the team and culture as a trusted, valued partner. You will be skilled in quickly building business networks and relationships to help you find and tell the best stories. Furthermore, you’ll be known as the person who always delivers high quality, timely communications.
Other key success enablers include:
- Prior experience working within a large, complex corporate and/or strong issue management expertise
- Impeccable written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working in the China market
- Strong knowledge of communications trends and best practice, understanding various channels and how to maximise our impact within them
