Our multi-disciplinary team works across water, wastewater and storm water, as well as surface waters and irrigation; partnering with clients spanning the municipal, industrial, transportation, commercial, mining and agricultural sectors. Our small but close-knit Nelson team of 15 make a positive impact on the day to day life of people in the region. As our team goes from strength to strength, we are looking for a water focused Senior Civil Engineer and Project Manager to join the team in our Nelson office. You will become part of the Beca Water Team, consisting of 150 water professionals delivering water and wastewater solutions across New Zealand and Australia.   

In this role you will have the chance to: 

*Lead the delivery of multiple stormwater, water and wastewater conveyance projects for our clients in the Wellington region with an emphasis on quality and service 

*Act as Beca’s project manager, liaising with our regional clients and delivering effective solutions  

*Help to deliver sustainable community outcomes through our projects, by focussing on aspects such as carbon reduction and reducing wider environmental impacts  

*Use your strong customer relationship skills to understand our client's core business and ensure that our services meet their expectations  

*Provide technical advice to staff members, and embrace a culture that values teamwork 

*Plan, assemble and manage resources to deliver your projects on-time and on-budget 

*See projects through from concept to client handover  

About you 

You will be a professionally qualified individual, with a strong track record in the successful delivery of design and construction of 3-water projects in a consulting environment.  This experience will be across technical, delivery and client facing activities and you will have the natural ability to build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside of the organisation, ultimately leading to continuing work and repeat business. If you haven’t already achieved it, we encourage professional body certification and registration.
