A research and development company they produce mechanical and chemical raw materials extracted from industrial waste, apply unique processes and on sell for manufacture of a range of products.
Supporting the development and scaling up of an innovative technology, this is a research lab and piloting position focussed on research and development involving inorganic materials and titanium dioxide. The role will support projects related to not only the technology development, but also the evaluation of different raw material feeds to produce titanium dioxide. Other topics in the group include rutile seeding, morphology control, and optical material properties.
To be successful a Masters in inorganic chemistry with a specialty nanomaterials and crystallisation is important. Of value will be expertise in titanium dioxide. With a few years’ post-grad industrial work experience, preferred is expertise in sulphating, leaching, hydrolysing, Mecklenburg conversion and calcining titanium science in addition to nanomaterial science and processing. Contributing in this dynamic lab team requires a collaborative interpersonal style, good communication and influencing skills, a planned, methodical approach and conceptional thinking strength.
