The Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, Southfuels are looking for a talented Sales Manager experienced in supporting the development and implementation of strategic sales strategies and account management plans to ensure domination of their chosen markets.  Creating and delivering a high-performance culture, you will lead and support the Southfuels Community and Loyalty programmes and maintain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships. Utilising an innovative approach, you will ensure your team secure new business to meet sales targets, create and implement customer call plans and also complete team gap analysis and in field training.  You will also be an active HSE advocate and focussed on upholding the company Vision and Values and maintaining industry compliance standards


What you will bring to the journey

You will be a truly inspirational leader with a ‘Lead from the Front’ attitude with a structured approach to sales and account management. You will play a key part in the business exceeding customer expectations, supporting their requirements with a ‘hands on’ approach focusing on maximising performance and achieving sales growth.  Proven strategic and tactical success in Sales Management roles including experience setting and achieving sales targets and reporting and presenting results will be critical to success in this role.  A key focus will be to spend at least 90% of your time in the field with Account Managers, Customers, Regional Operations Managers and Drivers, so we are seeking applicants with a true customer centric approach.

Previous experience within the fuel industry or primary sector would be advantageous but not essential. A strong affinity, understanding and connection with Rural New Zealand is essential.
