Established in 1970, Motor Trade Finance Limited (MTF) is one of New Zealand’s largest motor vehicle financiers, operating through a network of local franchises and motor vehicle dealers.  The franchise businesses benefit from MTF Group’s strong relationship based brand, suite of market leading products, innovative technology and efficient and effective business model.  MTF Hornby is a busy and successful franchise, providing consumer finance solutions for motor vehicles to customers and currently experiencing sustained business growth.

This is a newly created Sales Consultant role at MTF Hornby, which will report directly to the Franchise owner. The position will be responsible for converting finance enquiries into profitable and prudent lending.  Role functions include engaging with customers from initial contact, explaining finance products, assessing whether customers meet credit criteria, and processing of appropriate loan documentation.  A key focus of the role is working with a portfolio of customers, ensuring maximisation of repeat and referral business, and proactively developing sales opportunities through social and business networking.

We seek dynamic and highly motivated candidates with a minimum of 5 years sales experience.  Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer focussed approach are essential, along with sound administration capabilities.  Proven success in converting customer enquiries into successful sales is required, along with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.  Candidates with existing knowledge of consumer lending legislation and a background in the finance industry are of interest.
