We are currently recruiting for a Sales Account Manager, based out of Houston, Texas. We're looking for someone with an extensive knowledge base of the Texas market and networks to support in developing Air New Zealand's presence in the region.
North America Leisure Sales USA is one of the 5 distribution channels reporting to the Manager Sales and Market Development USA. Leisure Sales is the second largest contributor of revenue for the region. This is a new position, created to expand our business account base in Texas and the SE USA.
Your key focus will be to develop business with face to face calls for all Leisure Channel business in the state of Texas, and in conjunction with industry and trade organizations. The goal to build revenue to support daily Houston - Auckland service. As part of our sales team you will have input into the sales strategy for the Region and be required to implement this with each of the accounts within your portfolio. Travel is a regular feature of this role as such you must be able to work variable hours and days. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines are mandatory.
To be considered, you will have previous Leisure Sales Experience in a variety of channels, negotiation skills, fare construction and filing, CRM, college degree or equivalent experience, working knowledge of social media influence, business planning, data analysis, excellent communication skills.
You'll be an outstanding communicator with strong commercial awareness and financial management skills and have the understanding of budget and revenue control. A motivated, self-starting, 'can do' attitude is vital as well as the ability and drive to bring the financial results.
