The Role

Reporting to the Legal Compliance Manager, the Risk and Assurance Advisor position is an outstanding opportunity for a person with drive and enthusiasm who enjoys working with people and building strong relationships across a diverse business. Your objective will be to provide internal risk and assurance advice and support to the Finance team and wider House of Travel Group, including Retail Outlets, Orbit World Travel and the Wholesale businesses. You’ll produce and analyse reports to ensure businesses are complying with relevant  regulations and understand best practice requirements. You will be working with the team to facilitate the internal audit and risk management practices and procedures and keep these up to date. Particularly, you’ll commit to delivering the internal audit programme with regular site visits around New Zealand to support the Group with relevant recommendations and accurate reporting.


Your Skills and Experience

With previous experience in a technical accounting role, you’ll have first-class communication, business knowledge and a talent for concisely explaining complicated issues.  You will thrive on developing effective relationships and providing support to stakeholders to ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place. You will have proven analytical and report writing skills and a sound understanding of the risks that New Zealand businesses are tackling in the market. You’ll also either have achieved your CA/CPA or equivalent designation or will be working towards this.
