Reefton is the West Coasts only inland town located among the spectacular Paparoa and Victoria ranges. With a population of just over 1000 residents, the town lies alongside the wild Inangahua River and is surrounded by the Victoria Conservation Park which at 180,000ha is New Zealand's largest.
Reefton Health is an integrated health service and we have a four month fixed-term vacancy for a registered nurse. The role of the Registered Nurse is to participate in the ongoing development of the position and the model of care delivery with Reefton Health. They will utilise nursing knowledge and skills to provide safe nursing care to patients of the west Coast DHB that have complex needs as well as lead and assist other nurses in providing complex nursing care to patients. As the successful applicant, your critical thinking skills will be developed and utilised to observe, detect and report relevant issues in complex situations, and make reliable decisions regarding the management of nursing care autonomously.

To be successful in the role you must:
- be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse
- have a minimum of three years clinical experience
- hold a current Nursing Council of New Zealand annual practicing certificate
- hold a current, clean full New Zealand driver's licence.
