This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.

What you will be doing

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Communications Manager to provide marketing communications leadership within the North America market and contribute to the leadership and management of Tourism New Zealand’s North America team, including the development of the marketing communications strategy. 

Reporting to the General Manager Americas & Europe, you will not only be involved in the development of the global marketing communications strategy making up Tourism New Zealand’s 4-year marketing plan, but you’ll also translate these into your own region, ensuring the effective management and implementation of Marketing Communications activities for the USA and Canada.  You’ll lead in market campaign activities including, the localisation of global creative and the development of media initiatives.  Key to success will be your ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of industry stakeholders and agencies and you’ll leverage your understanding of market, consumer and media trends to identify opportunities to really make a difference. 

What we need

Passionate, energetic, and talented, you’ll be a senior consumer marketer who’s digitally savvy with proven classical marketing disciplines, ideally gained from within complex matrix businesses with a global remit. You’ll be a go-getter, strategic and commercial with the ability to take a vision and actually make it happen. And being part of a lean team you won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty! You will have the ability to build relationships across a huge range of stakeholders, inspiring others along the way to be part of the journey with you.
