An opportunity now exists for a proven leader to make a real difference to the work we do across Latin America as the Regional Director based in Sao Paulo.
You will be responsible for leading our Latin American team; facilitating government partnerships and maximising the value our customers can create and capture in the region by assisting them in entering, connecting with and growing in the market.
Reporting to the General Manager International, and as a member of the International Leadership Team, the position comes with significant leadership responsibility, involvement in implementing NZTE strategy and leading and modelling our values and characters. Internally, this includes building the capabilities of the team of Trade Commissioners in the region to ensure the continuous improvement of our customers' performance. Externally, you'll represent New Zealand in the market and oversee strong collaborative relationships with NZ Inc. organisations; particularly MFAT and New Zealand businesses operating in Latin America. In this high profile position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your networks and relationships to forge strong bilateral ties to promote NZ Inc.

This is an official representative role and the preferred candidate will be subject to a number of vetting processes including obtaining relevant New Zealand security clearances. The post is for a minimum of 3 years.
