To support their continued growth, Synlait are in the process of implementing IBP – Integrated Business Planning – an international best practice company-wide management process, proven to increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. IBP ensures an in-depth focus and alignment throughout all areas of the business from business development, sales, operations and supply chain including supporting functions of finance, human resources and information technology. IBP will give Synlait much more complete business management information over a 24-36 month horizon, facilitating improved levels of financial and operational performance, increasing employee engagement and driving customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the IBP process in the Quality area - serving as a key conduit between Quality/Regulatory, BD, Supply Chain and Sales teams - communicating, prioritising, and helping to drive the resolution of quality issues/non-conformances. This role will work across the business (particularly with the Product Allocation Coordinator and the Commercial Planning Manager) to streamline information flows and manage work streams that effectively resolve quality issues, increase collaboration and communicate actions and outcomes throughout the IBP process. The Quality Planning Analyst will also be an active participant in determining root cause and corrective/preventative actions to resolve quality issues/non-conformances and prevent their recurrence.
Suitable candidates will have at least 3+ years’ experience working in a quality focused role in a food manufacturing environment (dairy/infant formula/pharmaceutical advantageous). Sound knowledge of quality management systems, including food safety, root cause analysis/CAPA, quality control testing and traceability is also required. Understanding of manufacturing/warehousing processes are beneficial in addition to knowledge of ERP systems and inventory control. Strong relationship building and analytical skills are essential along with the ability to work cross functionally with a collaborative approach.
