This is focused on fostering a city with a thriving economy and a healthy environment with an active, creative, resilient and vibrant community. The City of Dunedin is one of New Zealand’s progressive urban centres with a population of 127,000. Renowned for its outstanding quality of life, heritage buildings and international reputation as a centre for tertiary education, it also has strengths in the primary sector, engineering and tourism.
As a key component in achieving its vision and commitment to the community, Council has committed to a significant programme of investment with both its extensive existing property portfolio and key new facilities. This investment by Council led to a revised structure for the Property Services Team and the creation of several new roles, representing an exciting opportunity and not business as usual!
Contributing to the Group’s strategic leadership, the Property Manager will focus on identifying future demand and building use requirements for Council-owned properties, managing land and property acquisitions and disposals and all tenant services. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge and at least 10 years leadership experience in a complex property management environment, ideally with exposure to local government.
