We are looking for those professionals who have the energy and passion to join us in creating remarkable journeys.

TDG is a multi-office specialist transportation engineering consultancy whose work spans throughout NZ, Australia and the Pacific and offers a full range of professional services in transportation: engineering, planning, modelling, analysis and design. Wherever people and transportation meet, that’s where we are. Making that meeting point better, is what we do.

Our success is due to the combination of hiring the right fit, allowing our engineers to work to their strengths, and developing our people to their full potential by offering interesting, challenging and evolving projects. We have skilled enthusiastic and committed people, and we take pride in the way we develop our people to be respected transportation professionals and accomplished leaders. You will work alongside like-minded industry experts and benefit from our broad scope of projects that span large and small developments, in both the private and public sectors which will ensure you are always extending your skills. Our company is 100% employee owned and our culture is professional and fun.

In addition to contributing to every aspect of the transportation consulting work that TDG specialises in, you will undertake a leadership role that includes direction of projects and the joint coordination of transportation consulting teams. From proposals and tenders to design and project management, you will have opportunity to contribute to all the work we do on our extensive range of projects and developments. Business development is an integral aspect of this role, so you’ll also have the capability to develop and enhance our client relationships, identify and develop new business areas, and input into growth strategies.

To succeed in this role you will need to be the sort of person who is capable of taking leadership roles that include direction of projects, and the joint co-ordination of transportation consulting teams within the branch office. You will possess:

  • a degree in engineering or equivalent, with a minimum 8 years’ experience in transportation and civil infrastructure projects;
  • relevant experience in working alongside both private industry and public sector clients;

  • energy and charisma to lead and inspire teams;
  • the personality and ability to develop and nurture client relationships and gain the clients’ trust and loyalty;
  • the enthusiasm, initiative and determination to overcome challenges and achieve results;
  • the confidence and capability to contribute to business development; and
  • creativity and innovation to bring new perspectives, fresh ideas, and flair.

We offer competitive salary, profit share bonus and wellbeing benefits to our people. Our focused and work-life balanced work environment will support your interests and family commitments outside of work. As an accredited New Zealand employer, we are able to employ professionals to NZ from overseas with the minimum of immigration red tape.

Join our team in NZ: the 'World’s coolest little capital' - Wellington - hub of arts, great outdoors & vibrant city life. Settle in Christchurch, NZ ‘Garden city’ bordered by the Pacific ocean in close proximity to Southern Alps and world-renowned resort towns or choose Hamilton, the ‘city of the future’ in the mighty Waikato where you will live close to world-class mountain biking, skiing, rowing and cycling. Or consider moving to Sydney, NSW Australia where you can make your mark by joining TDG at our newly established Australian branch - growth times are a great time to make your mark and extend your capabilities.
