- Start 2018 making a difference and leading the way The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is seeking a full-time permanent Principal Adviser, Organisational Resilience.
This role is based in Wellington.
About the role:
The Organisational Resilience Principal Adviser is the subject matter expert responsible for providing advice and services on Organisational Resilience (which includes Incident Management, Emergency Management and Business Continuity) to safeguard and secure Ministry assets, including people and information.
This is both an operational and strategic role that requires a high performing leader.
Communications, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills are vital to the success of the role in both dealing with the Ministry’s senior leadership, key external stakeholders and mentoring staff in Incident management and developing Business Continuity Plans.
The Principal Adviser, Organisational Resilience is responsible for driving organisational change to increase resilience capability for both Incident Management and Business Continuity.
You will support the development, implementation, testing, improvement and ongoing support of incident management and business continuity. Specifically this position supports the achievement of the Ministry’s strategic priorities and high level outcomes as outlined under the key accountabilities.
We are looking for someone who really understands and cares about emergency management and business continuity and who can inspire others to feel the same. You will be able to gather information, conduct analysis and identify gaps, have a relevant qualification or working knowledge and the ability to influence others to enable delivery of process improvements.
You must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate NZ Government Security clearance.
