Te tūranga – The role
In this role you’ll lead a team of policy professionals who develop and implement public policy to design and refine the regulation of key players in the financial system such as banks and insurers.
You’ll enjoy stakeholder management with regular contact with senior stakeholders right across government and the finance sector, providing thought leadership and sharp critical thinking when weighing up policy options and impacts.
Your key focus as a leader will be to provide direction, coaching and development opportunities to this stellar team who are empowered to have a voice, initiate and make change.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
- A solid background in public policy roles, including policy development right through to implementation
- Previous exposure to regulatory, economic or financial system policy issues
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management capability
- A leadership style that instils confidence, inspires and develops others
