You will provide vital support to the Centre, helping to improve water systems and ensure staff and students have the skills to maintain them through an effective plumbing course. This will involve supporting staff to review existing water infrastructure, make recommendations for improvement and, design and implement a maintenance plan. The volunteer will also work with teachers in the Department of Mechanics and Carpentry to review the current plumbing curriculum, assess the skills of teaching staff, and train and mentor staff to implement the plumbing course.

This hands-on assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to support education and help the Centre reach its future development goals.

We are looking for a volunteer with:

  • A certifying plumber
  • Holds (or is eligible to hold) plumbing registration and practising license
  • Basic knowledge of drain laying
  • Experience doing the plumbing on electric pumps
