Reporting to the Group Manager Regulations, with 4 direct reports, this key role will lead the Planning & Regulatory Team. Strong district growth has resulted in a variety of significant land developments, and as Planning Manager you will lead and manage the full spectrum of resource management, planning and regulatory policy functions. This will include resource consent processing, District Plan administration, review, and enforcement, and regulatory policy and bylaw development and monitoring, whilst ensuring services are delivered with a community and customer focus.
Successful candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated leadership experience in planning, resource management or policy analysis. A sound working knowledge of the Resource Management Act, Planning and Consent processing, and Regulatory policy and Bylaws is essential, along with excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of technical competence in relevant statutory and policy frameworks and processes.
