Are you looking for a challenging, career development planning management role in electricity contracting?

Delta is a diverse contracting and infrastructure services business based in Dunedin with operations reaching across the South Island.  Its sister company and largest client Aurora Energy is the electricity distribution business for greater Dunedin and Central Otago. 

This newly created role, which reports to the Regional Manager, leads a multi-disciplined team of 10 people ensuring that Delta’s project workflow in the Central Otago region is planned, scheduled and delivered in a professional, efficient manner.  The Planning Manager effectively leads a small PMO.  The ongoing development and strengthening of safety and culture are critical focuses of this role. 

We have particular interest in highly motivated individuals with experience in planning, scheduling and delivering contracts and leading small teams in the electricity or other relevant utility contracting sectors.  The proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop project teams and individuals is essential.  It is expected that you will possess significant successful project management experience gained in the contracting sector. Candidates will be commercially astute and highly safety and customer focused.  You will possess effective communication skills together with strong interpersonal and relationship skills.  A relevant tertiary qualification or compensating experience is required.
