Are you passionate about Pacific education and want to make a real difference? If so, we are looking for two champions to join our Pasifika team. Massey University's newly established Office of Pasifika Student Success' goal is to raise awareness of [email protected] within Massey university and the wider community through engagement, advocacy and support of initiatives that aim to help Pasifika students succeed and fulfil their aspirations.
As part of the Pasifika Student Success team, the Pasifika Student Support Coordinator will be the main contact person for both internal and distance Pasifika students, providing academic and pastoral support. The relationships built with students will enable their greater connection to their programme of study, the College and to the University, thereby resulting in positive outcomes for this cohort of students. There are two positions available, one based on the Auckland campus and one at the Palmerston North campus. These two positions will both support College of Health and College of Sciences Pasifika students.
To be successful in appointment, you will have the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in supporting tertiary students
- A strong ability to relate to and interact with Pasifika communities
If you have an appreciation and understanding of Pacific cultures, have excellent organisational skills, and can easily connect with Pasifika students and their families, we want to hear from you!
