Teach First NZ has been set up to tackle the problem that too many children fall through the cracks of our education system. Research points to two things that can move the dial on this pressing problem:
Brilliant educators in our schools,
Brilliant leaders at all levels of our society.
At Teach First NZ - we aim to develop both.
We train you to be a great educator and find you a job in a secondary school serving a low socioeconomic community for two years. Throughout the two years, you are provided with wrap-around support by dedicated school, academic and Teach First NZ mentors.
At the end of the two years, you receive a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching qualification from The University of Auckland and will move into phase two of the programme.
Teach First...what next?
