The Network Planning Manager role has been created in response to the ongoing growth of business to specifically focus on planning for the future and strengthening asset management across the network. This key role, which reports to the Network Asset Manager, leads a network planning, customer connections and network information team. The Network Planning Manager's responsibilities will include asset management policy, developing and maintaining the asset management plan and improving asset management practices. An important component will be integrating network planning with predictions on the impact of disruptive technologies (PV, EV, battery storage). The role will have technical oversight and responsibility for the continuous improvement of network, engineering and design standards. It is expected that this significant and stimulating role will proactively contribute as a member of the Operations Committee.
We have particular interest in highly motivated, planning and engineering management professionals with specific electricity engineering experience ideally gained in distribution. The proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop engineering teams and individuals is essential. Candidates will be highly knowledgeable technically, commercially astute and capable of conceptual thinking. They will possess effective communication skills together with strong interpersonal and relationship skills. A relevant electrical engineering tertiary qualification is required.
