Formed in 2007 as a result of a merger between the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association and the New Zealand Engineers Federation, The New Zealand Manufacturers and Exporters Association (NZMEA) is a specialist not-for-profit business organisation for manufacturers nationwide. Providing a range of beneficial services to its member companies, the NZMEA supports, connects and represents businesses in this sector in order to help facilitate their growth in a sustainable fashion.
Reporting to the CEO, the Member Services/Relationship Manager is a key role with responsibility for the effective management and maintenance of close relationships with the Association’s existing members and for driving the successful growth of the membership base throughout the South Island. The Member Services Manager will ensure the effective promotion and successful delivery of the benefits of belonging to the Association, actively engaging with members, relating to their issues and providing advice, services and solutions that drive their growth and benefit their individual needs and the sector as a whole.
Applicants will ideally possess sound manufacturing industry knowledge and experience along with well-developed leadership and account management skills in order to build meaningful relationships and establish credibility with the leaders of NZ’s manufacturing industry. A proactive and consultative approach is essential, along with the passion and ability to assist members grow their businesses through the provision of sound support services and advice, and speaking up on their behalf.
