This is a unique opportunity to join our dynamic and growing team. Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) is a contemporary and versatile music company who have worked for over 20 years at the top of the UK music industry, specialising in recording sessions, corporate events, private functions and more recently, festivals. 

The role involves Marketing, Events Management and General Business Administration. Marketing activities include social media, e-news, website, trade show preparation and preparation of marketing material for clients and advertisements. Events Management tasks include assisting with events from enquiry and quotes through to sales conversion, logistics and delivery stage, including Tour Management on site at events. The role involves communication with a broad range of stakeholders including musicians, subcontractors, agents and venues.  Administration includes use of Customer Relationship Management software, maintaining event spreadsheets, creating musician confirmations and basic input of sales and costs for accounting purposes.

The successful candidate would be educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent presentation, communication (written & spoken), fluent well spoken English, customer service, organisational, time management and problem solving skills, high level of attention to detail, numeracy, IT literacy and professionalism. They should be friendly, positive, hard working, excellent at working well under pressure and multi-tasking in a fast paced environment with high-end clients, as well as working well within a small team, able to use their own initiative and having a good sense of humour. Would suit someone with previous experience in Arts, Events, Entertainment, Media or Hospitality role. Musical knowledge, a full Driving License, some knowledge of Photoshop, Mailchimp, copywriting skills and Mac literacy are an advantage.

This is a full time position working from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm.

Applicants need to be flexible as the role includes some weekends and evening work on events.

The applicant would preferably start beginning of December (with possibility of earlier or later start date for the right candidate).

Please note the position is based at our Kent office in Faversham, with occasional travel to London, the UK and possibly abroad.
