Southfuels Limited was established in 2006 with the aim of enabling a wider option of bulk fuel delivery and distribution to the Primary Sector in New Zealand. In 2008, on the back of successful growth in the South Island, Southfuels launched its sub brand Northfuels in the North Island. The company is now a national bulk distributor of fuel to the Primary Sector and utilises a sustainable business model to provide simple end to end solutions for customers from Kaitaia to Bluff. Reporting to the National Operations Manager you will be accountable for the day to day regional operations to ensure customer expectations are met and fuel is transported to rural customers in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner. Consistently delivering a market leading service, you will create and deliver a high performance culture through planning and execution of resources, managing productive stakeholder relationships, and maintaining industry compliance standards across the fleet. With a focus on continuously reducing Operations Unit costs and improving fleet utilisation and efficiencies via route optimisation, you will also be an active HSE advocate and focussed on upholding the company Vision and Values.
What you will bring to the journey
You will be a truly inspirational leader with a ‘Lead from the Front’ attitude to deliver project and business goals, driving operational efficiency initiatives and ensuring HSE compliance. Additionally you will have a sound commercial acumen, superior time management skills, be a strong communicator and relationship builder coupled with a sense of humour. Proven strategic and tactical success in an Operational Management role including experience setting and achieving Operational KPI’s and reporting and presenting results will be critical to success in this role. A key focus of the role will be to spend at least 90% of your time in the field with Drivers, Customers, Regional Sales Manager and Account Managers so we are seeking applicants with a true customer centric approach.
Previous experience in the Fuel industry or Primary sector would be advantageous but not essential. A strong affinity, understanding and connection with Rural New Zealand is essential.
