- Excited by the chance to unleash the potential of New Zealand, its businesses and its economy?
- Experienced in managing opportunities from development to successful investment?
- Understand the cultural complexities and realities of investment propositions in South East Asia?
As part of New Zealand Trade & Enterprise's (NZTE) global Investment Team, you will be working with a group of motivated energetic individuals who want to make a difference by attracting more capital into New Zealand and build the capital capability of New Zealand businesses. You will be based in our Singapore office with a focus on implementing the East Asia regional and cross-sector capital strategy, working closely with the regional investment team based in Singapore and Japan.
You will have proven experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and/or capital raising, a strong understanding of global trends and capital markets with a commercially focussed tertiary qualification (ideally in finance, economics, commerce or accounting).
Your primary focus will be on sourcing, developing and executing bi-lateral investment and commercial opportunities for early stage ICT companies in South East Asia. As a savvy and influential investment promoter, you will execute NZTE's broader customer and capital strategy by increasing New Zealand's credibility as a foreign direct investment destination and facilitate outward direct investment activity.
You will have a depth of knowledge about the financial markets and the investment landscape in Asia and will add real value by knowing how to get things done through both formal channels and informal networks. As a natural and skilled networker and relationship builder you will connect and develop opportunities across a variety of stakeholders from the private and public sector. You'll be in your comfort zone engaging with and persuading high powered and influential business and political figures and will be at ease manoeuvring through highly complex political situations.
This is a locally engaged position, which means that you will be employed under Singapore Labour Law. You will need to be able to be eligible to live and work in Singapore.
