The Air New Zealand Strategy, Networks & Alliances team has an opportunity for an International Network Planning Manager based in Auckland.
The International Network Planning Manager will ensure that Air New Zealand correctly matches supply with demand in international markets to identify profitable growth opportunities and optimise network connectivity to support the delivery of profit targets within a 6 - 18 month time frame. This role focuses on actively generating ideas for network improvement and leading cross functional project teams to secure buy-in from relevant internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who has a wide range of skills and experience from advanced technical analysis to commercial acumen and well-developed communication skills. You will be experienced in network planning analysis and be up to date with industry best practice across network planning. The ability to handle large amounts of data, but also see the bigger picture, and be skilled in interpreting and delivering recommendations in a relevant and effective manner to key business stakeholders is an essential skill in this role.
You will be an experienced project manager used to working with cross functional teams with a strong customer focus and able to demonstrate how you seek to understand what your customer values and how you turn insights into business ideas.
Ideally you will have a university degree in a relevant discipline, 5 plus years' experience in airline network planning or similar environment, advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of Power BI, Visual Basic for Applications, SAS, SQL, and/or Microsoft Access is preferred.
