Reporting to the Legal Compliance Manager this role is an outstanding opportunity for a talented Accountant with drive and enthusiasm who enjoys working with people and building strong relationships. Your objective will be to provide technical internal audit support to the Finance team and wider House of Travel Group, including Retail Outlets, Orbit World Travel and the Wholesale businesses. You will produce and analyse financial reports to ensure branches are complying with relevant tax and travel industry regulations. Additionally you will be required to regularly travel to sites around New Zealand to support branches with accurate reporting.
Your Skills and Experience
With previous experience in a technical accounting role, you’ll also have first-class communication skills. You will thrive on developing effective relationships and enjoy supporting non-financial operators by ensuring good internal controls. You will have proven report writing skills and experience in auditing and taxation. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in a CA firm or financial services office is preferred. You will also either have achieved your CA/CPA or equivalent designation, or will be working towards this.
