Auckland Transport is looking for a Solicitor with Public Works Act experience to support our growing city's transport infrastructure. Help us shape Auckland with your sound legal advice while being able to work flexibly.
Auckland Transport is shaping Auckland with new infrastructure developments in design, construction and delivery across Auckland including Matakana Link Road, Northern Corridor improvements and the Auckland Manuka Eastern Transport Initiative (AMETI) projects in the south. Our Legal Team play a critical role supporting these projects with sound legal advice regarding property acquisitions as well as commercial and construction matters.
Working closely with the Legal Counsel - Property and Construction, you will provide work closely with our property and construction teams across Auckland Transport and provide legal advice across a broad range of property, construction and contract matters including:
- Property acquisitions for infrastructure projects under the Public Works Act
- Methods of contracting
- Preparing and reviewing tender documents
- Interpreting and applying the Resource Management Act
As a qualified Solicitor with over three years post qualification experience, you will have exceptional relationship building skills as you earn the trust of your stakeholders through sound advice. You will also have exceptional influencing skills. You will also have experience in property and construction law with a comprehensive understanding of the Public Works Act 1981.
