An exciting opportunity exists to join the world's leading dairy innovation centre based in Palmerston North and, reporting to the Manager of Creams, Fats and Spreads, you will deepen our capability and understanding across Cream Products, Emulsion Technology and/or UHT Processing.
This is a challenging and dynamic environment known for industry breakthroughs and world beating innovation. As part of a high-performing, knowledgeable, supportive team with a passionate and well informed team leader it will focus on new products and related technology developments, working with cross-functional teams to scope out product innovation opportunities, ensuring the best-practice execution of technological work within development projects.
Skills and Experience
You will have:Sound technological expertise on Cream Products, Emulsion Technology or UHT Processing.Strong experience formulating, developing and commercialising food products.Knowledge of dairy ingredients, functional food additives and the physic-chemistry of food ingredient interactions.The initiative and thinking skills – an ability to undertake independent research and apply your knowledge across a range of products and technologies.Good team skills – an ability to integrate yourself into project teams, and manage ambiguity.The drive to get your ideas to commercialisation. Relationship management – good communication and interpersonal skillsA positive, co-operative approach to your work.A relevant tertiary qualification to Masters or PhD in Food Technology, Food Science or related discipline is highly regarded in this role.
