Are you looking for a comprehensive Health & Safety management role in a location that offers a number of lifestyle choices?
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced health and safety professional to play a key leadership role in the company’s performance improvement programme on the large, complex manufacturing site. The ongoing development and improvement in site health & safety performance is a key objective. As a member of the Site Management Team you will assist in developing a performance focused culture. You will also work with the Group Manager Health and Safety to deliver company-wide health & safety strategies.
Specific responsibilities for this role include ensuring that company health & safety strategies and systems are fully communicated and implemented across the manufacturing site and driving continuous improvement and best practice in health & safety. Providing expert health & safety advice and coaching to the Site Management Team are core involvements. Other responsibilities include health and safety planning and management, accident investigation and reporting, risk management and injury management.
Candidates for this role will possess the following:
- Substantial “hands on” health & safety leadership experience within a manufacturing or food processing environment
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills together with the ability to build trust and work across all levels within the Site
- The proven ability to lead improvement initiatives in health & safety performance
- Solid legislative and technical HSE knowledge
- A relevant qualification in health & safety
