The Health and Safety Group Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic direction for Health and Safety within Genesis Energy achieved by working collaboratively across the company. The Health and Safety group’s aim is to deliver best in class health and safety across Genesis Energy, through implementing strategies, policies and practices that target the prevention of workplace related illness and injury.

This role has company-wide responsibility for health and safety; it will work closely with the operational health and safety people to ensure close alignment, and the best outcome for Genesis Energy and its people. This role reports to the Executive General Manager, People and Culture, and has responsibility for one direct report (Health and Safety Business Partner).

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Five+ years in a senior health and safety role and a formal health and safety qualification, tertiary or equivalent.
• Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
• The ability to communicate at all levels and demonstrated influencing skills.
• Extensive participation in successful change and continuous improvement projects.
• A track record of transformation and best practice Health and Safety performance.
